GravBot was a puzzle platformer developed at Team Phobic. The original prototype featured action gameplay with device rotation to change GravBot's direction, but this was awkward, so we switched to touch controls and puzzle-based gameplay, aiming for the fewest rotations possible.
It was one of the first App Store games to use In-App Purchases, supported by our custom engine and Google App Engine for content downloads. The game featured free initial levels with purchasable additional packs, including unique Halloween content. Apple featured GravBot as “Game of the Week” in the App Store.
